New Jersey School of Fashion Design and Accessories

Jennifer Siletski, owner and director of the NJSFDA, is a fourth generation artisan. She merged her inherited interests in fashion and teaching into the creation of the New Jersey School of Fashion Design and Accessories, run as a home-based design studio. Ms. Siletski demonstrates the utmost dedication to her students; she keeps the classes small so that she can provide individual attention, learn their strengths, fortify their weaknesses and goes the extra mile to make sure each student reaches their potential. All NJSFDA guest instructors are well-qualified. All have several years experience in industry. Two are from the faculty of FIT.
Thanks to Jennifer’s diligence, all of her students who applied to fashion colleges were accepted to the schools of their choice. One of her students, who now attends FIT, has won rave reviews from her teachers. One comment from a professor was, “I just love watching her work. She is so meticulous-it’s like magic.”
Ms. Siletski received her formal education at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design, the New York School of Interior Design, and the Arts Student League, all in New York City. Her degrees are in Textile Design, Accessories Design and Fine Arts. Prior to teaching, she worked in the fashion industry making handbag prototypes.
